Jana Lombardo, local Waldorf-inspired mom, brings you washable snack bags as the first necessary item for packing an earth-friendly lunch. She crafts a double layer, washable snack bag, with a cotton outer shell and nylon lining. To reuse, simply machine wash warm, tumble dry low or just wipe clean with a wet rag and air dry. Sold in two sizes, large approximately 7in by 7in and small 5.5in by 4. Jana also offers 100% cotton cloth napkins, which are 6in by 6in. Prices range from $4 to $6 each. Jana’s products are available via Pixie Stix Kids Consignment and the Made Local Market Place.
A Toy Garden also offers lunchskin reusable baggies and cloth napkins. Sono-Ma especially loves the Kid’s Bolga Baskets (similar to photo shown above) featured by A Toy Garden. Thank you so much Holly for including The Puppenstube in your list! Here is also a link to very cute and comfortable hats for children of any age, with or without ties. I knit them in very soft merino wool so they do not itch, as I know from my own experience (I had to wear hand-knit knickers when I was a child:) how annoying this can be to many children and a reason some just plain refuse to wear one.
Love to all for a good start into a new school year, Christine

Blessings on your son’s school year.
